In February of 2010, the event got an official title – BATHH (Big Ass Twitter Happy Hour) which caught on like crazy. For weeks before and after any BATHH, the hashtag was consistently a trending topic on Twitter in Austin.
This was our last event at the Gingerman as we had packed more sardines in the proverbial can than could fit and despite the rain that day, it was a huge party. We heard a lot of “I wouldn’t miss it even if we were under a tornado warning” and “this is my only social event of the month, of course I’m here” to “are you kidding? I’ve done more business over beer at these events than in my office!”
